Dear Ozge Hn. He sent us a very nice dessert recipe. I loved this dessert as a kid, but the ones I ate were filled with cream and they were like balls. Buddha looks different and delicious. Good luck with your hands and work. Thanks for the dessert :)

dessert with syrup

Ingredients for Damascus Dessert Recipe

  • 4 pieces of eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 glass of semolina
  • 1 glasses of yoghurt
  • 1 water glass flour
  • 1 package baking powder
  • 2 packaged vanilla

For Sherbet:

  • 3,5 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 water glass of water

To decorate:

  • 1 water glass milk
  • 1 pack of whipped cream
  • hazelnuts (can only be garnished with ground green pistachios)

How to Make Damascus Dessert Recipe?

  1. I whisked eggs and powdered sugar.
  2. I added yoghurt, semolina, flour, baking powder and vanilla and mixed it well to form a cake.
  3. I poured it on a greased baking tray and baked it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees until it was golden brown.
  4. On the other side, I made the syrup. I poured the syrup over the dough while it was warm. (if it waits for one night, the syrup absorbs better and it tastes better)
  5. When it got cold, I sliced it and decorated it with whipped cream and hazelnuts and served.
