Brownie Cake

The idea for the Boza cake came about because we liked the taste of the boza we bought at the market.

The biggest feature that distinguishes Bozalı cake from standard cake recipes is that I used 1 glass of boza instead of milk or yogurt. My cake, which started out as an experiment, turned into a real feast of taste when cinnamon and powdered ginger were used.

I am especially thinking of preparing the coconut and chocolate chips. If 1 liter of boza is too much for you or if you don't like the taste but can't bear to throw it away, it's a recipe you can easily try.

How to Make Bozali Cake Recipe?

  1. Put the sugar and eggs in a whisk, when the mixture turns white (until the sugar is completely dissolved), beat it with a mixer at low speed and then at high speed.
  2. Add the boza and oil to the beaten eggs and continue beating.
  3. Add flour, cinnamon, powdered ginger and 1 packet of vanilla and mix until you get a smooth dough.
  4. Add the baking soda last and mix for 1 more minute.
  5. Grease your cake mold and pour the dough into the mold. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 50 minutes. Before taking it out of the oven, check if the middle is cooked, if not, cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. When your baked cake comes to room temperature, remove it from the mold and serve by slicing.
