Cherry Liqueur

Hello friends, we went to dinner with my wife and ex-classmates on Saturday evening, it was a very enjoyable night. My former English teacher also joined us and gave me a very nice Cherry liqueur recipe that I wanted to share with you. I also researched on the internet and added a few recipes here. I will try it at home soon, I will write to you :)

Ingredients for Cherry Liqueur Recipe

Fabrication:

  1. You lay the cherry, sugar and cinnamon in layers and arrange them in the jar.
  2. You keep this mixture in the sun for a week by shaking it with your mouth closed.
  3. At the end of a week, you add cognac on it, close its mouth and keep it in a dark place for 3 months.
  4. The waiting time is a bit long, but it is indeed a very tasty liqueur.
  5. At the end of 3 months, you can strain it and fill it into a stylish bottle, serve it with cherries while serving, or use the cherries in your cakes.
  6. If you wish, you can use vodka instead of cognac, but in this case, the taste will be sharper. You may also need to add water if you use a fruit that releases less water instead of cherries.

2. Recipe

Material:

1 kg of cherries
300 g granulated sugar
300 g of ethyl alcohol
2 liters of drinking water
1 cinnamon stick
1 nutmeg
4-5 cloves
4-5 pieces of cardamom
1g of amber

Fabrication:

The cherry is thoroughly washed. It is placed in a glass jar with the stems. Alcohol and spices are added. sugar is dissolved in hot water and added to the jar and its mouth is tightly closed. It is stored for 2,5 months in a place out of the sun and light. When it is opened, 1 glass of quality cognac is added on it.
