Lady's Belly and Queen's Finger Dessert

We had our first sea escape last Sunday, between busy and tired days, the sea is still cold, but it brings you back! For some unknown reason, even if you go for a day, you feel as if you are on vacation for a week from the city. But like all good things, the holidays end quickly. Again, you find yourself in the grip of the duties and responsibilities that you have to fulfill in the chaos of the city.

Ingredients for Lady's Belly and Queen's Finger Dessert Recipe

For the syrup:

Fabrication:

  1. Put the water and butter in a steel saucepan, stir before the water boils so that the butter melts well.
  2. Slowly add the sifted flour to the pot and mix. Add salt and sugar and fry until you get a dough that does not stick to the pot (8-10 minutes on low heat).
  3. Take the pan off the heat, spread and collect it with a wooden spoon, and let the dough cool without crusting. Once warm, break the eggs one at a time. Add semolina and rice flour (or starch) and knead with a wooden spoon or mixer until you get a smooth dough.
  4. When your dough comes together, break off walnut-sized pieces and make a ball by slightly wetting your hands. Throw your balls, the middle of which you press with your finger, into the oil and turn on the stove at the lowest, fry the sweets in oil by shaking them from time to time.
  5. Throw the fried desserts into cold syrup immediately. Take the desserts that have soaked the syrup for 5-6 minutes on the serving plate.

Note: After each frying, cool the oil for a while, otherwise your dessert will not brown well.

Sherbet Ingredients and Preparation:
