Peach Compote

Hello Dear Friends,
The peaches I bought from the market last week were incredibly attractive. Because my hands were full, I had the market uncle choose it. I was surprised when I came home and tried to chop one of them, they were really hard, even half raw.

I thought it would soften as it sat in the refrigerator, but even after 1 week, there was no improvement. I decided to make compote from half of the sweet half. It turned out very well both in dessert and compote. Because they were hard, they did not disperse and did not muddy the water.

The recipe is very practical, I throw a clove into it to sweeten it. You can also add cinnamon sticks if you want.

It goes great with pasta or rice.

How to Make Peach Compote Recipe?

  1. Take water, sugar and cloves in a medium saucepan. Mix and let the sugar melt, then let it boil.
  2. While the water is boiling, peel, core and chop the peaches.
  3. Put it in the boiling water, cook for 10-12 minutes and remove from the stove.
  4. When it comes to room temperature, put it in the refrigerator. Serve cold.
