Spaghetti with Meatballs in Tomato Sauce & Cupid's Culinary School

Books create an incredible wave of calm and peace in me. It kind of fixes my mind, which is worn out by work all day, before I fall asleep at night. When I was stressed because it coincided with the holiday to finish the last book of Game of Thrones, a book I bought after being struck by the cover design at the market we went to for holiday shopping is “The Culinary School of the Goddess of Love.”

I think it's literally a holiday book, love, disappointment, sadness, conflict, including the recipes in it, everything is given at the dose. The story begins when a young woman named Holly goes to her grandmother, who lives on the Blue Crab island due to her love pain, loses her shortly after and takes over Camilla's Small Kitchen, which her grandmother runs.

The fact that your grandmother is both a cook and a fortune teller is one of the elements that make the book cheerful. In addition, a bitter-sweet memory or a passionate wish is whispered to every prepared dish. Doesn't everyone who cooks with passion do the same when cutting, sautéing and boiling :)

Towards the middle of the book, they are preparing a recipe that Sam, the only boy Holly teaches Italian Cuisine, wants to learn for his daughter. In this recipe, spaghetti with meatballs is loved by both adults and children.

The recipe is not given in the book, but after I finished the book, I went into the kitchen and started preparing it as I felt. Of course, I did not forget to make a passionate wish.

My wife says it's the most delicious pasta she's ever eaten :)

How to Make Spaghetti with Meatballs in Tomato Sauce & Cupid's Culinary School Recipe

  1. For the sauce, cut the tomatoes and onion into 4-6 parts. Add 2 cloves of garlic and the rest of the ingredients, pass it through a blender or food processor and set aside.
  2. Take the minced meat into a mixing bowl and add the egg, grated onion, crushed garlic and parsley.
  3. Wet and squeeze 1 slice of bread, crumble and add to the ground meat. Add salt, spices and parsley and knead until the ground beef comes together.
  4. Cover the minced meat and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Take walnut-sized pieces from the rested ground beef and roll them in your hand.
  5. Put olive oil in your pan and heat it. Put the meatballs in the pan and cook by turning them until they are browned.
  6. When it gets the color in the photo, add the tomato sauce that you set aside and cook by mixing it with the sauce, taking care not to break the meatballs.
  7. If the raw taste of the onion is gone when you taste it, your sauce is ready.
  8. Boil the pasta in plenty of water for 8-10 minutes. In a bowl, mix 1 finely chopped garlic clove, finely chopped fresh thyme, salt and olive oil. Drain the boiled pasta and mix it with garlic olive oil and transfer to serving plates.
  9. Share the tomato sauce with the meatballs you prepared on the pasta and serve hot.
