Puff Pastries with Molasses and Raisins

I make this practical recipe whenever I want something sweet. In my last preparation, I used apple molasses from Kastamonu Farm. In this way, there is no need for an extra sweetener.


Molasses and puff pastry are incredibly delicious. Besides being easy to make, the presentation is elegant. If you want, you can use grated chocolate or chocolate chips instead of molasses. Since molasses gives a natural redness, you don't need to apply egg yolk on it. To enhance the butter flavor, you can put tiny butter pieces on the rolls.

Ingredients for Molasses Puff Pastry Buns Recipe

1 pack of puff pastry (12 pieces)
1 cup of apple or grape molasses
Half a glass of raisins
Butter for greasing the tray

How to Make Puff Pastry Buns with Molasses and Raisins?

1- Divide the puff pastry dough that has come to room temperature in half and spread grape molasses between it.
2- Make a roll by sprinkling raisins on the grape molasses.
3- Grease the eyes of your 12 muffin tray with butter.
4- Place 2 or 3 puff pastry rolls in each compartment of the tray and bake in the oven at 200 degrees until golden brown.
5- Remove the cooled puff pastry from the tray without crushing and serve.
