A big hello to everyone :)

I wanted the first post of the new year to come from avocado, which I mix into everything these days :) I shared the Avkado Salad (Appetizer) recipe before. Apart from that, I also shared one of the most famous recipes, Guacamole.

In the last 2 years, avocado has become a well-known fruit. Although its price is not 50 cents – 1 lira as in Bodrum, it is around 2,5-3 liras in Istanbul. For this reason, it has even started to be shared with youth mask recipes that can be applied to the face, let alone eaten.

Recipes made with avocado, which balances the protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism in our body, help you refresh when you need energy the most (usually in the afternoon for me). Of course, it should not be forgotten that it contains plenty of calories, so if you are trying to lose weight, they recommend not to consume more than half an avocado.

Although the egg and avocado mix is ​​usually preferred in the morning, if I'm working very hard that day and I missed a meal, I quickly prepare a sandwich for myself. I usually use whole wheat or wholemeal bread, but I like it best with Eiweissbrot Protein Bread, which is sold in the supermarkets. It has a little price, but even a slice is satisfying.

Since we usually buy avocados from the market, it is hard. Hard avocados are not suitable for eating, because they are both crunchy and leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

The color of ripe avocado changes from bright green to dull dark green, and it collapses easily when you press the top with your finger.

If your avocado is raw, you can easily soften it in 1-2 days. It is enough to keep them in a place where they do not touch each other at room temperature. There are those who keep it with apples or bananas, but I don't think it's necessary. Avocado also ripens in the refrigerator, but takes a little longer.

Ingredients for Egg and Avocado Sandwich Recipe

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 hard boiled eggs
  • 1-2 sprigs of dill
  • Salt
  • 1 small clove of garlic optional

For service:

  • 2-3 slices of fenugreek-free bacon

How to Make Egg and Avocado Sandwich Recipe?

  1. Boil the egg for 8 minutes, drain it and put it in cold water. Peel the warm egg and finely chop it.
  2. Cut the avocado lengthwise into 2 parts. Tap the blade lightly on the core in the middle and pierce it. Turn the core with the knife handle slightly to the left and right and pull it towards you to remove the core.
  3. With the help of a knife, slice the avocado in its peel, first longitudinally and then horizontally to form a square. Take the avocado from the peel with the help of a scoop.
  4. Add the diced avocado pieces on top of the egg. Add salt, optionally a little crushed garlic and finely chopped dill and mix.
  5. Take the avocado with egg that you prepared on the bread slice.
  6. Fry the pastrami in a pan without oil. Arrange the fried slices on the sandwich. Serve with the other slice of bread on top.
