Ingredients for Green Lentil Pasta Recipe

  • Half a pack of pasta
  • 1 liters of water
  • 1 meat bouillon or salt upon request
  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil

For sauce:

  • Half a cup of green lentils
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 medium carrot
  • 1 medium potatoes
  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Thyme
  • Salt

For the above:

  • Olive oil and grated cheese

How to Make Green Lentil Pasta Recipe?

  1. Take half a glass of lentils, which you soaked 1 night in advance, in a saucepan and boil.
  2. Peel the skins of potatoes and carrots and throw them into the lentils. Boil for another 10 minutes and drain and rinse with cold water. Chop the carrots and potatoes.
  3. While the lentils are cooling, finely chop the onion and garlic, put them in a large pan, add oil and salt and sauté until they turn pink.
  4. Add the lentils, potatoes and carrots to the onions and sauté for another 5 minutes.
  5. In another pot, boil the pasta by adding 1 bouillon and olive oil to 1 liter of water.
  6. Drain the boiled pasta and distribute it on the plates. Put the lentil sauce you prepared on it and drizzle some olive oil.
  7. Finally, serve with a sprinkling of grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese.

    A different idea is pasta with lentils. I already love Parmesan cheese. I am sure it is very nice. I'm trying to stay away from meat a little these days. I am sure it will be a good alternative with plenty of protein. Thanks for the description.
