Green Tomato Dish
You can use green tomatoes in your kitchen not only as pickles, but also in many different recipes such as olive oil dishes, fried foods, salads, jams and sauces. Especially the green tomato dish with olive oil is my favorite with its sweet and sour flavor and refreshing aroma. Ingredients for Green Tomato Dish Recipe
- 3 large green tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- half a teaspoon of olive oil
- half a cup of rice
- salt
- 1 water glass of water
- 1 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
- 1 tablespoon chopped dill
How to Make Green Tomato Recipe?
- Wash the tomatoes. Cut them lengthwise into 4-6 pieces depending on their size. Wash and drain the rice.
- Chop the onion and garlic finely. Add salt and fry over medium heat until they turn pink.
- Add the garlic and stir 1-2 times. Add the green tomatoes, rice and stir.
- Add water, mix once more and cook on low heat with the lid closed until the rice swells.
- After turning off the stove, add the chopped dill and mint to the dish.
- Serve the dish, which you have rested for 1 hour, at room temperature or cold.
In Sweden, spinach is sold without roots and therefore we are deprived of this dish.
