Green Tomato Fries

Made in 1991"Fried Green TomatoesMy peers know the movie. The name of this delightful movie, which I was very impressed with when I watched it for the first time, created a question mark in my mind at that time :) I thought they meant the tomato that turned from green to red with the effect of the poster, but I was surprised to see that those tomatoes were actually fried in the movie.

As for the plot of the movie… “Evelyn, who is overweight and unhappy with her husband, befriends Ninny, whom she met by chance during a nursing home visit, and then visits Ninny frequently. Ninny tells the story of a friendship she witnessed in her youth. The film tells the story of two women who supported each other in difficult times in 1920 America, and Evelyn, who was influenced by this story and tried to solve their problems.” It's a really worth watching movie...

Here is our second recipe green tomato fries. This recipe was just as delicious as the other. Make sure that the tomatoes you will fry are firm and without rot.

As I always say, make this type of pan frying in as much oil as possible.

I recommend trying it before the green tomatoes disappear.

Ingredients for Green Tomato Fries Recipe

• 6-7 medium green tomatoes
• 2-3 eggs
• 1 bowl of flour
• 1 bowl of breadcrumbs
• oil for frying
• salt

How To Make Green Tomato Fries Recipe?

1. Wash the tomatoes and slice them half an inch thick.
2. Add some salt to the flour, take the breadcrumbs and eggs into small bowls as in the photo.
3. Dip the tomato slices first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs and fry them either side-to-side or pre-heated.
4. Serve as a sandwich or with some garlic yogurt.
