Salty cookie, salty biscuit I think it is one of the only snacks to have at home. Whenever possible, I can prepare it and store it in an airtight jar for up to 1 week. Usually it's over long before that time, but whatever :)

The salty cookie recipe was one of the ones I wanted to update for a long time. This is the opportunity, I kneaded and cooked while Nehir was sleeping. An alternative to the old recipe is butter. Now you can cook whatever you want :)

Ingredients for Salted Cookie Recipe

  • 1 package baking powder
  • 1 sweet spice salt
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 4/3 cup melted butter
  • 4 tablespoons of yogurt (3/4 cup)
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk (to be brushed on 1 egg yolk)
  • 3 water glass flour
  • Black seed

How to Make Salted Cookie Recipe?

  1. In a deep bowl, first put 2 cups of flour, make a hole in the middle with your hand. Add melted butter, yogurt, salt, 1 egg.
  2. Start kneading the dough by adding salt, vinegar and baking powder. Add the remaining flour and knead until you get a soft consistency.
  3. Walnut-sized pieces of the dough you have obtained are cut off and shaped as you like and put on a tray with greaseproof paper.
  4. Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with black cumin and optionally sesame seeds.
  5. Bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 13-15 minutes until golden brown.

    The view is amazing, I can feel the taste from here :) What I want to ask is, can't we put Butter instead of margarine? My last butter and salty cookies are a bit too crumbly in the mouth... I also use whole wheat flour, and of course, is that butter because of these, they didn't turn out like patisserie cookies?
