Fresh Broad Bean Fava
If I were to organize a spring festival, I would give the leading role to fresh broad bean fava. I made many broad bean recipes this year, but I saved the most delicious one for last.
Its preparation is just like the classic broad bean fava, but its taste is completely different. I used some red onion in the serving, just like the whole fava, but I flavored the onion by kneading it with salt, sugar and vinegar.

Ingredients for Fresh Broad Bean Favas Recipe
- 500 g fresh broad beans
- 1 white onion
- 1 large cloves of garlic
- quarter bunch dill
- half a teaspoon of olive oil
- lemon juice of 1 lemon
- 1 water glass of water
- Salt
- granulated sugar
For service:
- Red onion
- salt
- granulated sugar
- wine vinegar
How to Make Fresh Broad Bean Favas Recipe?
- Boil the broad beans, put them in cold water, cool them and remove their shells.
- Add the onion and olive oil to the pot. Roast by adding salt and granulated sugar. Put the broad beans into the pot and add enough water to wipe them.
- Cook with the lid closed until the onions soften.
- While the broad beans are cooking, chop the red onion as desired, add salt and sugar according to your taste and rub it. Add the vinegar and set aside to taste.
- Add dill, garlic and lemon juice to the drained broad beans and blend them.
- Spread the broad beans on the plate and sprinkle with all the mixture you have prepared. Finally, serve with olive oil.
