Ingredients for Chicken Rice Recipe

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 6 water glass of water
  • 1 pieces of onion
  • 1 medium carrot

For the rice:

  • 2 cups of rice
  • 3 cups of chicken stock
  • 2 spoonful butter
  • salt
  • black pepper

  1. Place the chicken drumsticks in a medium saucepan. Add 1 peeled onion, the carrot that you cut into large pieces and water and boil it until the chickens are soft.
  2. While the chickens are boiling, wash the rice in 1-2 waters and let it rest for 15 minutes in warm water to which you have added some salt.
  3. Remove the boiled chicken drumsticks, carrots and onions from the pot with the help of a strainer and continue to boil the chicken broth by reducing the bottom of the pot. Take the skins of the chicken drumsticks and shred them with your hands.
  4. Drain the rice and place in a medium saucepan with 2 tablespoons of butter. When the rice starts to become transparent, add 3 cups of chicken broth, salt and shredded chicken pieces and mix.
  5. Close the lid of the pot, cook on medium heat until the rice is tender.
  6. Turn the heat down and cook on low heat until the water is gone.
  7. Turn off the bottom of the stove, open the lid of the cooked rice and put a paper towel on the pot and close the lid again.
  8. Serve the rice, which is infused for 10-15 minutes.
