I add boiled eggs to the original recipe made with ground beef, but I only used vegetables for chicken. In addition to peas and carrots, you can also use boiled and diced potatoes in the filling.

Chicken mince is juicy compared to other mince types. You need to put more crumbled stale bread or breadcrumbs in it to prevent it from falling apart. Also, after grating your onion, you should squeeze the juice out as much as you can so you don't have to add more breadcrumbs.

I don't put tomato paste sauce on chicken dalyan meatballs, instead I add it to the plate when serving, but if you want, you can drizzle tomato paste on the meatballs in the last 10-12 minutes of cooking time to make it even browner.

  • 800 g chicken mince
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs (to be added little by little)

  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 pieces of eggs
  • Salt, pepper

  • 2 spoonful butter

  1. Grate the onion and squeeze out the juice as much as possible with your hands. Crush the garlic.
  2. Put the minced meat, salt, pepper, onion and garlic in the mixing bowl.
  3. Add the eggs to the minced meat, add the breadcrumbs and knead the minced meat.
  4. Cover the ground meat with cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  5. While the minced meat is resting, boil the peas and carrots so that they are not very soft, drain and set aside. Chop the cooled carrots into small cubes.
  6. Lay cling film on the kitchen counter. Spread the minced meat in a rectangular shape.
  7. Spread the peas and carrots across the middle of the mortar.
  8. Holding the end of the cling film, wrap the minced meat in the form of a roll. Place on the greased baking tray and carefully pull out the stretch from the bottom.
  9. Bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
  10. To serve, put the butter in a sauce pan, add the tomato paste and fry it. Add salt and water and boil until thickened.
