After the barbecue party, I just started to get rid of my tiredness. On Saturday evening, everything seemed like a dream :) On Sunday, we went to Emirgan and then to Forum Istanbul AVM to distract ourselves and relax a little. We bought lots of ingredients and started to try new flavors.

Stuffed chicken was a recipe I wanted to make for a long time. I decided to prepare it for my mother-in-law who came to visit yesterday. It is very easy to make, while the chicken is cooking in the oven (about 2 hours), you have as much free time as you want. The recipe was prepared by my aunt before. chicken rice in the oven almost the same.

We were 8 people in total for dinner. Apart from the rice I prepared inside, I made 2 cups of stuffed rice. Seasoned chicken soup from the leftover water of the chicken in the bag.
When my dessert was left to the last minute, I prepared a very practical, yet elegant and delicious meringue cake. I will share the recipe for the cake with you tomorrow.

christmas chicken

I served the chicken on top of the other rice I prepared, but I couldn't find the time to take a photo :)

Chicken was around 1 kilo and 800 gr, rice made from 1 glass of water was enough for it. While making the pilaf to be stuffed into the chicken, the important thing is to cook the pilaf alive with little water. If you ask why, it continues to cook with chicken broth in the chicken anyway. When you leave it slightly alive, your inner rice does not become mush.

Remember, if you fill the inside of the chicken too much, the chicken may explode and create an ugly appearance.

Stuffed rice with chestnut you can too. Love…

Stuffed Chicken

My menu was pretty practical. Stuffed chicken (you can say Christmas chicken), seasoned chicken soup, mixed green salad, vegetable lasagna and meringue pie.

I would like to give you another recipe, the stuffing is sage, the bread crumbs, grated sage, salt and a little black pepper, try it, a more delicious and light recipe than an old English cuisine cook.

You will never put water in the chicken. The amount of water written above is for the rice.

I do this too, it's my mom's very old recipe. If you add a little finely chopped chicken liver with onions to the stuffed rice, it will be wonderful. And dry mint goes very well with this pilaf. good luck to your hands
By the way, where is the meringue cake recipe? My guests will come.

Hello Mrs. Tuğba, Since the chicken is in the bag, it is cooking in its own juice by releasing its own juice.

I made it yesterday and it was amazing. Looks very stylish on the dinner table. Our friends who came to the house were shocked because they did not expect such a meal from me :P Since it was cooked in a bag, it did not dry out and each corner was cooked tremendously. Thanks Nila ^_^
