Hello Dear Friends,

this evening sahur recipe Pan-Fried Rose Pastry also with potatoes :) Sensa Pastry you remember. My wife loved this pastry so much that she decided that I would like it with potatoes. When I finished my work, I immediately started preparations. When I say I started, there is no preparation, just boil the potatoes and fry them with some onions.

The rest is to fry your pastries in the pan and it only takes 10-15 minutes in total. While preparing this pastry, use as much fresh phyllo phyllo as possible instead of market phyllo. Since I have made different versions before, I know that if the dough is a bit stale or thick, it will tear when giving the pastry a rose shape. On the other hand, you can fry fresh phyllo without any problems.

You will say that the frying is not heavy, it is definitely not. It is enough to put a maximum of half a glass of oil in the pan, of course, if you throw the pastries without heating the oil, it will absorb oil. I am sure that you will enjoy it with tea or ayran in sahur or breakfast :)

Love…

How to Make Rose Pie with Potatoes in the Pan?

  1. Peel the skin of the potatoes, cut them into large cubes and boil them in water with salt added until soft. Drain the boiled potatoes and set aside.
  2. Chop the onion for cooking, put the potatoes in the pot you boiled with olive oil and fry them until they turn pink.
  3. Add the potatoes to the fried onions and mix them by mashing.
  4. Add red pepper flakes, black pepper and salt to the potatoes and mash them.
  5. Divide the dough into 2 parts. Put the potato mortar you prepared in a row on the wide side of the phyllo. (You can make the puree with your hand or with the help of a dessert spoon)
  6. Starting from the cut part, wrap it in the form of a roll and stick the end by applying egg white.
  7. Make a rose pastry shape by wrapping all the rolls from right to left.
  8. Put some oil in the pan and heat it, fry the pastries first on one side and then on the second side and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels. Serve hot or warm.
