Plum sherbet is my second recipe that I want to share with you on the eve of the feast. Sherbet is one of my favorite treats after dessert.

It is enough to use any type of red plum to make the color like this, but I think it is the most beautiful plum.

You can increase the amount of sugar according to the sweetness of the plum you use. If the sugar is too much or if the syrup is too thick for you due to its pulp, you can dilute it by adding water.

Ingredients for Cinnamon Ginger Plum Sorbet Recipe

  • 1 kilo sweet red plums
  • 1 piece of fresh ginger (olive-sized)
  • 1-2 pieces of cinnamon stick
  • 2 pieces of carnation
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

How to Make Cinnamon Ginger Plum Sherbet Recipe?

  1. Wash the plums by rubbing them and put them in a large saucepan and add enough water to cover them by 5 inches.
  2. Peel the ginger and cut it into 2-3 pieces and put it in the pot.
  3. Finally, add cinnamon, cloves and sugar and bring to a boil.
  4. When the skins of the plums crumble and become soft, remove the saucepan from the heat. Strain through a strainer when your syrup has cooled. Mash any remaining plums with a spoon or with your hands.
  5. Fill in bottles and store in the refrigerator.
