Sesame Cookies

Hello Dear Friends,

After a good weekend, I will say that the intensity of Monday was smashing, but it wasn't like that :) It was such a tidal day that I really felt like a ping-pong ball for a while.

Fortunately, the sea route I used to cross from Anatolia to the European side added to the intensity. The taste of the tomato & cheddar toast I ate before the meeting and the 1 glass of tea I drank are still in my mouth.

how to make sesame cookies

Even though it was already past midnight, I sat down at the computer to relax and distract myself… “Writing to you and sharing it with you really feels like medicine to me.”

This cookie is as thick and delicious as it was bought from a bakery. I have a little trick to add flavor to its taste. If you roast the sesame seeds in a Teflon pan for 2-3 minutes, you will not only reveal the aroma, but also break the raw white color a little. But keep an eye on sesame seeds so that they do not thicken too much and spoil their taste and appearance.

Wish me luck for this week. Love…

Ingredients for Sesame Cookie Recipe

  • 250 g butter
  • 1 pieces of eggs
  • 1 tea glass of granulated sugar
  • 1 tea glass of milk
  • 1 package baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanillin with sugar
  • 3 water glass flour
  • 1 cup sesame
  • 1 egg white

How to Make Sesame Cookie Recipe?

  1. Take the butter at room temperature in a wide and deep kneading bowl, add sugar on it and knead a little.
  2. Add milk, egg, flour, baking powder and vanilla to the kneading bowl and continue kneading until the dough comes out of the kneading bowl.
  3. Shape the dough into a ball as in the photo and roll it in your hand by breaking off walnut-sized pieces.
  4. Sprinkle some flour on the kitchen counter and take the walnut-sized dough on the counter. Using the bottom of a water glass, press the dough without crushing it and give it a circle shape.
  5. With the help of a brush, put the cookies on which you have smeared egg whites on all sides with sesame seeds and put them on the baking tray.
  6. Bake the cookies on the tray, placed 1-2 cm apart, in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.

I'm new to the kitchen, but I want to share a very easy and beautiful sesame recipe.
1 glass of sesame seeds, 1 glass of oil, 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar, baking powder with the tip of a teaspoon and flour as much as possible
the material is mixed, the meringues of the desired size are taken, placed on the tray in a slightly flat form and cooked, taken from the oven before the color turns too
I hope you like it, enjoy :)

    Hello Miss Nilay,

The oil you use is Butter, not butter. it may have a taste of butter… Readers wrote that you use butter, but as far as I know, Teremyağ is a margarine that tastes like butter. Unless of course you typed the letter M by mistake...
If my question is Teremyağ, do we prefer the one you use on paper or in a bowl? The one in the bowl has a very soft consistency, the other one is harder… thank you.

Hello Yeşim, you can use butter or regular butter on paper. As you said, if you use it in a much softer bowl in the bowl, it may take more flour and harden. Love…

This recipe of yours is so perfect, I ate the same thing at the patisserie. I want to know, is it possible to make other cookies with the same dough?

You can use margarine instead of butter, of course, but it will not taste the same. You may also have a problem with the consistency.

Ms. Nilay, I'm thinking of making this cookie, but is it necessary to use butter or should we put margarine instead of butter? By the way, your hands look very good.

Thank you very much for sharing your delicious recipes with our followers. Do you need to wait for the dough to rise? I think you said baking powder.

Hello Ms. Gülsen, you don't need to wait for the dough to rise. The cookies are already rising very slightly.

There is a cookie that I want sooooooooo much. My mother used to make it, it was like a big cake, with raisins and orange zest with yoghurt. There is one in a pastry shop in Bandırma. I asked for the recipe. They didn't give me the recipe.
