Cherry Lemonade
Hello Dear Friends,
I try to try different recipes as much as I can during sour cherry time. The sour cherry, which came to the market with a weight of 12 liras this summer, has now decreased to 2,5 liras. Now you can buy plenty and make your winter cherry jam.
We loved the cherry lemonade recipe that I tried recently. I separate some of the syrup and keep it in the refrigerator. Whenever I want a fruity soda, I take some cherry lemon syrup into the glass and add soda to it slowly. My wife didn't like it this way, but I think it's as refreshing as lemonade :)
I think 1 glass of granulated sugar is just right, but you can increase or decrease it according to your taste. Let me talk about the bones I mentioned in the recipe here. Many of you have seen that in the kitchens of fast food shops, they wear a rubberized bonnet like tulle. That bone acts as a great strainer. If you strain the pulp using cheesecloth or that bonnet, the lemonade will not be smeared.
You can find these caps in the cleaning departments of big markets or in the plastic junkyards, and the price is very affordable. I bought 2 packs a long time ago, still not finished.
Love…
Ingredients for Cherry Lemonade Recipe
- 300-350 cherries
- 3 lemon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 water glass of water
Fabrication:
- Grate the rind of the lemons with the fine side of the grater and put them in the saucepan with some sugar. Rub with sugar for 1-2 minutes to intensify its flavor.
- Squeeze the lemons you have grated. Add the cherries, lemon juice, the remainder of the sugar, and the water to the saucepan.
- Boil over medium heat until the cherries crack and give their color. Take it off the stove when it gets its color and let it rest in the pot until it cools down.
- Cover the mouth of another bowl or pot with a thin cheesecloth or a cook cap (they are like tulle and are worn in professional kitchens). Put a fine mesh strainer on it.
- Strain the cherries with this strainer. Crush and spread the remaining grains by pressing them with your palm. When all the cherry seeds are left, remove the strainer and let the remaining ones in the bone drain.
- Add water to your strained cherry lemonade according to the consistency and color you want and mix.
- Cool in the refrigerator, serve with ice.
