Ingredients for Sahan Meatballs Recipe

For the meatballs:

  • 350 gr mince
  • 1 pieces of onion
  • 1 cloves of garlic
  • 2 slices of stale bread crumbs or 1-2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
  • 2-3 tablespoons of oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • cumin

For the sauce:

  • 1 large tomatoes
  • 1 cloves of garlic
  • 3-4 pieces of green pepper
  • 1 tea glass of hot water
  • cherry tomatoes optional

How to Make Sahan Meatballs Recipe?

  1. Put the minced meat in a mixing bowl, knead with the grated onion (squeeze the juice with your hands), stale bread crumbs, crushed garlic, parsley and spices.
  2. Break off pieces from the gathered ground beef, roll them with your hands and form a meatball.
  3. Take very little oil in the pan and heat it up, take the meatballs you have prepared into the pan, lightly fry them front to back and transfer them to a plate.
  4. Take the grated tomato, pepper and garlic in the pan and cook very little. Return the meatballs to the pan, add the juice and cherry tomatoes, and cover the pan with a lid.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes on medium heat with the lid closed and serve.
