The last recipe of the week is my fringed sandwiches, whenever I see it in the patisserie, I say 2 of them :)

We had prepared sweet versions of these delicious sandwiches before, and we couldn't get enough of them with strawberry marmalade.

Those who say what can I use instead of no fresh yeast can also use 1 packet of instant yeast. As I explained in the video, if you knead well and rest enough, you will have sandwiches with puff puff fringe.

Ingredients for Fringed Mini Sandwiches (Pastry Fringe) Recipe


  • 4,5 water glass flour
  • 1,5 water glass of water
  • 1 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 1 sweet spice salt
  • ½ pack Fresh Yeast
  • 1 tea cup oil

For the top:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • up to 1 tablespoon of milk

For the filling:

  • 150 g labneh
  • 150 g of feta cheese

 

For decoration:

  • chopped dill
  • Grated Cheddar Cheese

How to Make Fringed Mini Sandwiches (Pastry Fringed) Recipe?

  1. For the dough, put the flour, water and oil in the kneading bowl. Add half a packet of fresh yeast that you crushed with your hand and mix gently. Add salt and sugar and continue kneading.
  2. When it becomes a slightly sticky dough, take it to the floured counter and knead for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Leave the kneaded dough to rise for about 20 minutes.
  4. Break off 15-16 pieces of walnuts slightly larger than the dough and roll it into shape.
  5. Place them on the tray at 2-3 cm intervals and wait for it to ferment for another 15-20 minutes.
  6. Brush egg yolk on it. Bake in a preheated oven at 180˚C for 15 minutes.
  7. While the sandwiches are cooking, mix labneh and feta cheese and mash well. Grate the cheddar cheese. Chop the dill and put it in a bowl.
  8. Cut the sandwiches that have come out of the oven and cooled down with a knife without tearing them completely.
  9. Squeeze the mixture of labneh and feta cheese with the help of a piping bag and serve with grated cheddar and chopped dill.
