Rice with chickpeas
Whenever we go on a night out with Toci, we always stop by one of the street rice restaurants before returning home. In fact, we are regulars in Taksim, and whenever we stop by, we say two words. rice cookerwe have :)
Since Toci has a deep love for rice, it is a must in our house every 2 days. rice it cooks but chickpea rice place is different. You can't get enough of the rice we eat, especially with buttermilk and ketchup :) It can be consumed alone (with mushrooms, meat, etc.) your meat dishes When it is made next to it, your table will be full.
Since we have 2 people at home, 1 glass of rice is enough for us, but if you are going to make rice for a larger family or your guests, you should increase the measurements according to the rice you add to each glass of water you add.
Here are the new kitchen secrets for pilaf:
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice that you add while cooking your rice will make the color whiter.
- While heating the leftover rice, heat your rice cooker in a large saucepan filled with water, so that the rice will be like freshly made.
Remember, there is no bad rice, only rice that is made without complying with the measures. Love…
Ingredients for Chickpea Rice Recipe
1 cups of rice for rice
1,5 glasses of hot water or meat-chicken stock
2 spoonful butter
1 cup boiled chickpeas
salt or half bouillon
Fabrication:
1-Rinse the rice 2-3 times in a strainer with lukewarm water.
2-Fill a bowl with warm water and let the rice rest in it for 10-15 minutes.
3-Put the butter in a rice pot and heat it. Add the thoroughly drained rice and fry until the rice turns into grains.
Add 4-1,5 glasses of hot water and crushed bouillon and mix.
5- Finally, add the boiled chickpeas and close the lid of the pot.
6-First, cook it over high heat until it has holes in it and turn the heat down to low. When it has completely absorbed the water, turn off the heat and leave it to brew. Serve with black pepper.
It is very good in rice with noodle.

I have not come across Filiz before, but lemon may have made it, the butter you use may also cause yellowing.
Lemon does not turn yellow, on the contrary, it whitens.

I totally agree with you that rice with chickpeas is the best dish, it fits almost all our meals, but it is great even when eaten with yogurt only.
