Rice pudding
The sweet rice pudding I was most anxious to make in the early stages of my marriage. Since it should not be too thick or too watery, and keeping the consistency is a skillful task, I would immediately panic.
One night, while I was preparing the ingredients to make rice pudding, I made a phone call to my father, who is an expert in milk dessert. He told me how to make thick rice pudding one by one. I am sharing the recipe that I have used since then..
You don't need to put starch and rice flour separately, you can use whatever you have at home.
Dessert Recipes for Ramadan Feast My work has also begun. I will share as soon as possible.
A video that I prepared with only milk, rice and sugar according to the traditional recipe. How is Rice Pudding Made? to my recipe You can find it here.

Ingredients for Rice Pudding Recipe
- 5 glasses of milk (1 liter)
- 1 cup + half a cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of Turkish coffee with broken rice
- 1,5 cups of hot water (for boiling the rice)
- ¼ coffee cup starch
- ¼ cup of rice flour
- salt with the tip of 1 teaspoon
Fabrication:
- Sort the rice, fill 1 coffee cup to the top and wash it with 2-3 waters and drain. Put it in a small saucepan or a medium sized coffee pot with 1,5 cups of water, drain and cook until it becomes soft.
- Boil 5 cups of milk in a separate saucepan. When your rice is cooked, add the milk you boiled into it and let it cook.
- Mix the starch and rice flour in a bowl, add a little water and whisk it so that it does not form lumps.
- Then add the starchy water into the boiling milk little by little and mix quickly to prevent lumps. After stirring for another 5-6 minutes, add the sugar.
- Cook on medium heat until it gets a thick consistency.
- Divide your cooked rice pudding into bowls. Serve when cool, sprinkled with cinnamon and nuts.
great recipe
the flavor was very good
Hello.. I'm going to try making sutlac for the first time. When I was looking at the materials, it got stuck in my head. When you said a cup, did you mean a Turkish coffee cup? Please excuse the inexperience…
Turkish coffee cup, love...
I'm thinking of making it too, I wonder how many servings is this recipe?
5-6 pieces my brother
I can say it's the best rice pudding I've ever made. I used to put half a pack of starch, it would thicken immediately. Now I add very little and it thickens more slowly than I used to. But the result is perfect. Actually, I am very confused whether I should try this recipe or not. But I tried it because I trusted your recipes. and the result was perfect. Good luck to you and thanks for posting this recipe.
the size of the recipe is perfect, I say don't look for another recipe
it was perfect, my dear, thank you very much, can you share if there are different marvels?
In your oven rice pudding recipe, you should boil the starch milk and vanilla separately, so I tried it. I threw it into the boiling milk when it thickened and it became lumpy, I guess because it was hot. Add it cold in this recipe, you wrote it, I think it would be better
:) it's over, when I was trying to write a comment, I hit the bottom of the milk a little :DD I missed the sugar a little bit, but the consistency was exactly what I wanted. It is now certain that it will be a masterpiece in my second production, thanks for the recipe XD
