In our competition held on February 26 - 27, Metehan Tek won the Hotpoint Tea Maker and Toaster by finding the most creative name for our recipe, with the name "Aşk-ı Derman Soup".

Our Name is in My Heart practice has ended. Thank you to everyone who entered our competition.

Ingredients for Orange Carrot Soup Recipe

  • 350-400 g carrots
  • 1 medium onions
  • 3 spoonful butter
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 4 cups chicken stock or vegetable stock
  • 2 water glass of water
  • 3 long strips of orange peel (about the size of a matchstick)
  • salt

How to Make Orange Carrot Soup Recipe?

  1. Chop the onion for food in the chopping bowl of the Hotpoint Multifunctional Hand Blender blender. Slice the peeled carrots by attaching the slicing disc of the blender.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Add the onions and carrots and cook, stirring, until the onions turn pink (about 5 minutes). Add 1 teaspoon of salt while cooking.
  3. Add water, chicken or vegetable stock, ginger and orange peels. Cook for about 20 minutes until the carrots are tender.
  4. Remove the orange peels from the pot. Puree with a Hand Blender. Add some more salt if needed.
  5. Serve with scallions and thin orange peels, if desired.
