Many ladies complain that they are unsuccessful in preparing yeast dough and that their pastries do not rise as they would like. For this reason, I wanted to share with you the recipe of cheese pastry, which is one of the most basic recipes of the house, with its video narration.

This recipe is a very clear and practical recipe that I have been using for years. Remember the importance of room temperature during the fermentation process. If the kitchen is cooler than normal, the fermentation time may be longer. You can leave the dough to ferment for 30-60 minutes.

Ingredients for Cheese Pastry Recipe
For the dough:
- 3,5-4 glasses of flour (approximately 450 g)
- 2 egg white
- 1 finger missing from 1 glass of water
- 1,5 sweet spice salt
- 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
- 150 g butter
- 1 pack of instant yeast (10 g)
For inside:
- feta cheese
For the above:
- 2 egg yolks + 1 tablespoon of milk
How to Make Cheese Pastry Recipe?
- Take some of the flour in a mixing bowl, add yeast, sugar and water on it.
- Add the melted butter, egg whites and salt to the flour and knead.
- If the dough feels soft to your hands, add some flour and continue kneading.
- After the dough comes together well, form it into a ball and leave it to ferment for at least 30 minutes at room temperature by covering it with cling film.
- Remove the gas by kneading the fermented dough lightly and break off the tangerine-sized pieces and roll them in your hand.
- Open the meringues you have prepared by pressing them with your hands, without thinning them too much.
- Put some feta cheese in the middle of the dough and close it by folding it in half in your hand.
- Press the ends tightly with your fingers so that the buns do not open while they are cooking.
- Place the pastries on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Cover it with a cloth and leave it to ferment on the tray for 20 minutes.
- Brush egg yolk on the fermented buns and make streaks without pressing too hard with a fork.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
