Cheese Cake (Salt Cake)
Hello Dear Friends,
For a long time I thought of such a delicious salty cake had to do. Last week I hardly had time to go shopping and to the market. You know, I'm not talking about a small grocery store, I'm talking about the standard big market shopping. While I was in the kitchen thinking about what to cook today, I looked at the last 2-3 ingredients in the refrigerator and today cheesecake I said day :)
The cake I prepared early in the morning was so delicious and satisfying that it was like a breakfast table in itself. After preparing the cake, it is enough to serve it by making a tea with it. Of course, if you are a tomato and spring onion lover like me, you can have a quick bite with you. breakfast salad You can even prepare.
I wrote about the tips of making cakes before. Same goes for the salty cake, here Tips for making cakes access the article.
Since the eggs of the salty cakes are not whipped with sugar like the eggs of regular cakes, they do not rise excessively, but even a little salt provides a nice consistency. It is enough to add a tiny pinch of salt while whisking the eggs. The salt of the cake is up to your taste, but if the cheese and olives you will use are salty, I recommend that you do not exceed 1 teaspoon.
Have a joyful, pleasant and peaceful week..
Love…

How to Make Cheese Cake (Salt Cake) Recipe?
- Chop the feta cheese into cubes, chop the roasted canned pepper in the same way. Core and slice the black olives.
- Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. Add yoghurt and oil to the eggs that have risen and foamed.
- Add 2,5 cups of flour, baking powder and salt to the whisk and mix.
- Add the chopped ingredients to the cake batter and mix with a spatula.
- If you are going to use a normal cake mold, grease it with oil and sprinkle a little flour. If you are going to use a rectangular mold like me, cover it with greaseproof paper and pour the cake batter into it.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 35 minutes. (Check whether the inside is cooked with a knife or skewer in the 25th-30th minutes. Continue cooking until it comes out dry)
- Take your baked cake out of the oven and when it cools completely, remove it from the mold, slice and serve.
Hello Miss Nilay!
I made the cake according to the recipe. It puffed up very nicely while baking. It was just like your photo, but when you took it out of the oven, it collapsed and became doughy. I made sure that all the ingredients were at room temperature. It was very tasty, but it would have been better if it had not collapsed. Do you have any advice?
Hello Mrs. Şaziye, did you check with a knife or skewer whether it is cooked or not without taking it out of the oven? Because fully cooked cakes do not collapse and form dough easily. Maybe it's something from your oven, if it's too fried, it might have misled you. It just comes to my mind that it could be due to the oven. Yours sincerely
We think that my mother's cakes with solid ingredients were like that, because the ingredients in it collapsed, for example, we could only make the raisin cake by sprinkling the raisins on the cake heart, otherwise the dough would remain. I think the same thing happened to you.
