After watching Nigel's cooking show and seeing the pasta with pesto he makes from the basil he grows in his garden, I said that pesto sauce will be made this week! The man cooks with such love and creates such delicious flavors with a small change that you want to try everything he prepares in the program.

Of course, his garden is like a paradise… He grows whatever vegetables, fruits and herbs he will use himself. I think this is one of the shortcomings of our chefs… They always seem insincere and insipid to me because they are not intertwined with the ingredients they use in their work and programs, or because they see food as just a job instead of living it. That's why I don't watch it.

basic pesto recipe

Anyway, now let's come to what pesto sauce is…

Pesto is an Italian sauce originating from Genoa that contains pine nuts, olive oil, parmesan cheese, garlic and basil. You can replace the basil with arugula or spinach. Pine nuts with walnuts or pistachios, but the basic recipe is as I have given below.

So, what can we do after preparing the pesto sauce? I made a small list of the first things that came to my mind.

Pasta with pesto sauce
Rice with pesto sauce – risotto
Grilled meat with pesto sauce
Pesto Sauce Sandwich
Pizza with pesto
Salad with pesto
Canape with pesto
You can create many different flavors from 1 sauce. For example, I will give a very delicious pasta recipe tomorrow.

Love…

You didn't write, but I think you need to put the pine nuts in the blender.

I am allergic to cow cheese. Can it be made with or without another cheese? I know it's a weird question, but I'd love to try it :)

Hello, this is the basic recipe for Didem, but if there is an old cheese made from goat's milk, it can be tried. You can change the recipes according to your taste or necessity. You can make it without cheese by adding a little salt, but it will be called pesto :) Love..
