I love to consume molasses and wholemeal bread together. If I love it so much, I asked myself why I don't bring it together in essence (I'm pretty busy, actually, why am I asking myself such interesting questions). First I thought of trying it in a bread machine, but with a sudden decision I wanted to share a recipe that they can make by hand for friends who do not have a bread machine. This is how I tried my loaf (baton) heart, which I bought from Esse and was dying to use.

Ladies, I don't have a bread machine anymore, you won't be able to say I can't (at least we eliminated an excuse). Let's get to work :))

Finally, if you want, you can add crushed walnuts to get a different flavor.

Ingredients for Molasses Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

  • 4 tablespoons of molasses
  • 2 cups of wholemeal flour
  • 1 cups of white flour
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 pack of instant yeast
  • half a teaspoon of oil
  • 1 glass of warm water
  • salt to your taste

How to Make Wholemeal Bread with Molasses Recipe?

  1. Take all the ingredients into the kneading bowl (if you have a mixer, attach the kneading apparatus).
  2. Knead until you get a dough that will break free from the mixing bowl and gather. Set your oven to 50 degrees.
  3. If you have a baton mold, make it lightly and sprinkle flour on it so that the whole mold is floured.
  4. Shake the mold by turning it upside down, tapping it so that excess flour is poured out.
  5. Pour your dough into the mold and place it in the heated oven.
  6. Wait until the dough rises and doubles (approximately 2-35 minutes).
  7. When the bread is fermented, set the oven to 180 degrees.
  8. When the crust is covered, lower the oven temperature to 160 and cook for 15-20 minutes. cook more. I recommend waiting as it is easier to slice the cooled bread.

There is a fruit called persimmon. It looks like a tomato, it comes out in the fall and I can't get enough of this fruit, it's so delicious. Do you have any experience like dessert or marmalade with this fruit? Take it easy.

I don't quite understand the expression of salt according to your taste. :( Isn't salt a substance that stops yeast activation?

Hello Serhat, as far as I know, when you use instant yeast, sugar does not facilitate fermentation, nor does salt slow it down. That's why you can make low salt or salty breads.

How is a loaf mold, nilay? Is it the rectangular mold we know… I'll try it as soon as I get the whole wheat flour. But if I want, I can put it in the bread machine as well, right?

Hello Delfinac, rectangular mold as you said. When you make the bread in the machine, you want to reduce the amount of yeast a little. Pretty much the same dimensions.
