Pecorino Cheese and Fig Salad
Hello Dear Friends,
Returning from Italy, I brought 2-3 kinds of cheese with me. Of course, the first of the cheeses was parmesan as you can imagine :) pecorino cheese it was cheese. The reason I chose them was because their prices are naturally very cheap compared to Turkey and they are more delicious than the ones we sell.
Parmesan cheeseThe first part of ' is almost done but pecorino romanoI expected to miss Italy a little more to open :)
Pecorino Romano, ParmesanIt is a very close type of cheese. Although they are similar in structure, there are differences in taste. Pecorino Since it is made from sheep's milk, it has a stronger smell and flavor. subject to Parmesan You cannot slice and eat this cheese like our old cheddar cheese. It can be used by grating in salads and pizzas or by shaving with a knife or peeler as in the photo.
With balsamic vinegar, high quality olive oil and plenty of greens, you can't get enough of your taste. I usually prepare this type of salad when our main course is homemade pizza. I serve the salad on a sliced pizza instead of on a different plate.
Now let's see why figs are included in this salad. Figs balance the sweetness of cheese, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, which have a sharp taste. This turns into an incredible flavor with greens.
You can try the same salad with different fruits, especially strawberries. Recently, it has been very popular in the salads I have made with string cheese and strawberries.
