Hello Dear Friends,

Easter buns always remind me of the bakeries of my childhood. When you cook my recipe at home, you will realize that the patisserie smell of your childhood fills your kitchen :)

patisserie easter

The recipe is very simple to make, but there are 1-2 important kitchen secrets that you should pay attention to. The first of these is to activate the yeast by dissolving it in water beforehand, and the other is to knead it well. The most important thing is to comply with the fermentation times. Oily doughs are fermented a little late, but if you follow the time and the required volumes, the result will be great.

if you want your easter bun You can add some mastic or grapes other than mahaleb, or even both if you want. I'm just a mahlepist, I told you, just like when I was a kid :)

I would love to share my recipes with your photos in my story :) My Instagram account: @kitchensirlari

Love…

How To Make Easter Buns Recipe

:
  1. Take the warm water into the mixing bowl, add the yeast and a little of the powdered sugar and mix.
  2. Add mahlebi, eggs, melted butter and sugar to the activated yeast and mix.
  3. Add flour and knead for 3-4 minutes at low speed and then at medium speed. If you are going to knead by hand, knead for about 5-7 minutes until you get a moist dough that does not stick to the bowl.
  4. Take the gathered dough on the floured counter and continue kneading when it becomes smooth for 2 more minutes.
  5. Take it in a bowl and cover it and leave it to ferment for 1,5 hours.
  6. Divide the dough in half, and divide each piece into 3 equal pieces.
  7. Braid the first trio like a hair braid and put it on the tray where you have oiled paper. Do the same for the second triple piece and take it with it 5-6 cm apart.
  8. Cover the Easter buns and leave to rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.
  9. Brush egg yolk on the fermented dough and sprinkle with almonds.
  10. Bake in the oven preheated to 190 degrees until the bottom and top are browned.
  11. Let the baked buns rest until they cool down and serve by slicing.

Hello! I made the dough, but after the second leavening, it was not clear that I was knitting. It was like flat bread and it was so puffy. So why did that happen? Not as beautiful as you

Hello, this is the first time I've heard of such a situation. Was the dough too liquid?

I love Easter buns so much, I tried making it myself for the first time and the result was amazing with your recipe.
I'm afraid of not getting up to speed and finishing them all at once.
Thank you for this beautiful recipe ☺
