Onion Soup
Hello Dear Friends,
Many years ago, a different onion soup recipe I had prepared. I wanted to share this recipe with you just before Ramadan so that you can use it in menus. Primarily onion soup may sound a little strange to you, but do not hesitate to cook it because it has a legendary taste.
As the onion cooks, it leaves a sweetening flavor. Maybe that's why we use onions that we roast at the beginning of almost every pot meal.
In this recipe, I wanted to add vitality by adding some fresh spices on top of its unique pleasant aroma. It brought the flavor of fresh thyme and rosemary just to the point I thought it would be. You can add or not add according to your taste, but I think fresh spices suit you very well.

Ingredients for Onion Soup Recipe
- 3 medium onion
- 2 spoonful butter
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 2-3 stalks of fresh thyme
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
- 2 cups of broth
- 3 water glass of water
- salt
- black pepper
Fabrication:
- Chop the onion finely. Put it in a saucepan with the butter, add salt and sauté until it becomes transparent.
- Add the flour to the onions and fry them until they turn yellow.
- Add rosemary and thyme and mix 1-2 more times and add broth and water.
- After adding black pepper to the soup, mix and cook for about 15 more minutes until it thickens.
- Serve hot.
