Ingredients for Ripe Fig Jam Recipe
- 1 kg of ripe figs
- 1 kg of granulated sugar
- half a lemon
- optionally 4-5 cloves or cinnamon sticks
How to Make Ripe Fig Jam Recipe?
- Wash your figs without cutting the stems and put them on a cloth to drain. Arrange the figs with the stems facing up in a large steel pot.
- Cover the figs you have arranged by pouring all the sugar on them and leave them for 1 night by closing the lid.
- Cook over low heat until the jam thickens (mix very little and carefully).
- Add the juice of half a lemon 4-5 minutes before taking it off the stove and bring it to a boil and take it off the stove.
- Whether hot or cold, divide into jars and keep tightly closed jars in the refrigerator after they cool.
I kept it overnight, but the sugars did not melt completely, it has very little water, what should I do?
Hello Bilge, take it to the stove and let it boil over low heat. If it doesn't leave the water, if you add half or 1 tea glass of water, I think it will be enough. Yours sincerely
The smell of cloves is intense, how do I remove it :(
If the jam has thickened, unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. You can use it in desserts if you want. Yours sincerely
Shall we cut off the stems of the figs?
OK, but don't cut too deep.
Mrs. Deniz, I made it with your recipe, the shells were very hard, why do you think? Is the fig variety important for jam? I will be glad if you answer :)
I will try it for the first time, I love fig jam, I trust you
Figs are waiting in sugar, I will write you the result :) I love making jam, this will be my first try with figs, I trust your recipes. Love
I tried the jam, I put one and a half glasses of water in it, it was a little watery in my eyes, it was a little watery, but the taste is good :) thanks for the recipe
If you put a little bit of spice, which is KAKULE in Turkish, and Hel in Arabic, it is inedible.
Enjoy your meal..
Will the skins of the figs be peeled?
it is optional, you can peel it if you want, you do it that way if you want
at what time should we add cloves or cinnamon??
You can add the jam when you take it to the stove.
The recipe is good, it's easy to make, I hope I can do it, I'll be back, zize
Do I enter water??
Normally, figs leave their water at night, if the water is less in your eyes, you can add up to 1 tea glass of water.
Thanks again sailor :))
Bon appetit again. I'm so glad you like it :)
