Meatballs

Release Date: 13-09-2010

As much as I love to cook at home, I like to visit different places whenever I have the opportunity, and to taste flavors that I have not tried before in places that make me feel confident. Whenever I have a chance, I would like to talk to the chef of the place and ask for the recipes of the delicacies he made us taste :)

Eating and Drinking Places
I told you about Naliman Meatballs before..

Those who went know very well the warm family place run by the husband and wife, but for those of you who don't know, let me tell you again as soon as I can.

This meatball maker, which has a history of 22 years in Üsküdar İmrehor, is almost there now.

The meatball restaurant, which boxer Cemal started on a mobile counter and turned into a small, shabby but pleasant shop, is more like a therapy center than an ordinary place where you can eat. The walls and tables of the shop are covered with photographs of the customers who come there. As soon as you step inside, you feel as if you have been a customer there for years.

Next to the delicious meatballs, the sweetest conversations in the world revolve. Mr. Cemal and his wife, Mrs. Selver, greet meatball lovers who come to their shops as if they were guests rather than customers. Beside the grilled meatballs, the piyaz made from spiraea beans should definitely be tried.

Even though it is on a side street, the people who come and go do not stop, the fact that it is open on Sundays is an important plus for those going as a family. Package service is available around Üsküdar. There is also a sale of raw meatballs for those who want it (especially working ladies or single gentlemen).

This beautiful meatball shop has attracted the attention of the media and many celebrities, and has become a frequent destination. As for the prices of the place, it is very, very affordable for the most delicious meatballs on the market. 1 portion of meatballs is 5 liras and half a loaf of bread is 3,5 liras.

Meatballs are the foods that most reflect the Turkish taste. In each region, the spice or other ingredient added to it changes, but the taste and taste of the meatballs that come to the table sizzling and are eaten with onions or even grape juice do not change. I have never tried this meatball, but if I go to Üsküda, I will definitely stop by :)
