A kitchen torch or cake lighter, also known as a heat gun, is a very useful tool. It is used in desserts, smoked meats and even for barbecues.
We have 2 types of torches used in the kitchen, working with alcohol and gas. Gas powered kitchens are used. Although it looks a little scary, it is quite safe thanks to the safety catch and adjustable gas outlet.
You can use it to add a caramelized appearance by burning the sugar on the tops of desserts such as creme caramel, crem brulee, cake, tart, and cake.
