Hello Dear Friends,

My recipe for today will offer you a different and refreshing taste in the summer heat. It will also allow you to evaluate your tasteless melons :)

Yes, the aroma of the last melon we bought was good, but it had almost zero sugar consistency, and as such, one cannot eat it. Since I didn't bother to throw away the melon at home, I evaluated it in two different ways.

The first of these recipes was Melon Lemonade. As a matter of fact, we prepare a syrup or base for lemonade, just like in cocktails. Normally, this sherbet is made with just water and sugar, but to make our lemonade even more delicious, we will add the grated lemon peels and boil it.

I really liked its taste. I usually don't add a lot of water, and instead of the extra water, I pour some lemonade into the glass and top it off with soda. I think you should try this as well :)

Ingredients for Melon Lemonade Recipe

  • one large slice of melon (250 g)
  • 1 glass of lemon juice (10 freshly squeezed lemons)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Zest of 1 lemon (slightly more than 1 tablespoon grated)
  • 1,5 water glass of water
  • 3 glasses of water to add later (you can increase according to your taste)

Fabrication:

  1. Grate the lemon peels using a fine grater.
  2. Put the granulated sugar, lemon zest and 1,5 cups of water in a small saucepan. Add water to it and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Once the sugar has melted, take it off the heat and let it cool.
  4. Slice the melon, add lemon juice to it and pass it through the blender.
  5. Add the cooled mixture to the melons you have pureed.
  6. Add 3 more glasses of water to it and leave it to cool in the refrigerator. (You can add a little more water to taste, or you can consume it with the addition of soda as I did.)
  7. Finally, strain with a fine strainer or cheesecloth and serve.
