Donut
Almost one of the easiest of our traditional desserts was made in big cauldrons during holidays, openings, weddings and circumcisions in the province where I studied at university. We would pour peanuts or cinnamon on it and eat it hot :)
This recipe is the recipe of Lokmacı Baba, who gave me the same taste after years. We met him and his bites at an opening. He is a person as sweet as his donuts :) When I said that I wrote a food blog and published the recipes of the dishes I liked, he immediately shared the recipe :)

Ingredients for Lokma Dessert Recipe
- 1 kg.flour
- 1 packet of fresh yeast (40 g)
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1 tea spoon salt
- 1 coffee cup sunflower oil
- Water (to be added until you get a soft consistency)
For sherbet:
- 2 kg. granulated sugar
- 5 water glass of water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
To fry: Vegetable oil
How to Make Lokma Dessert Recipe?
- For sherbet, boil water, sugar and lemon juice. After the foam forms on it, boil it for 10 more minutes and turn off the heat.
- For the bite dough, knead a very soft dough with flour, yeast, salt, sugar and sunflower oil and warm water.
- Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place until it doubles in size. When it bubbles, mix it again with your hands.
- Break off pieces from the dough and fry them in hot oil.
- Toss the browned bites and cold syrup. Let stand for 10-15 minutes in syrup and serve warm.
