Hello Dear Friends,

For a long time I wanted to make a colorful and appetizing pastry recipe that would add color to breakfasts. The Cheese Donut Pastry was just like I had it in my head :) I loved the bite-sized pastries consisting of lots of cheese rolls in a puffy look. Tomatoes also became delicious while being cooked with pastries.

After adding the basil before serving, breakfast was ready alone with only a cup of tea.

You can also try this recipe with different ingredients such as potatoes and minced meat. The weather is cool right now, so it will be enough to rest the dough for an average of 1 hour or use warm water and milk to accelerate the fermentation.

  • 1 water glass of water
  • 1 pack of instant yeast
  • 6 water glass flour
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar

How to Make Lokma Pastry Recipe?

  1. Take water, olive oil and milk in a large mixing bowl. Add sugar and yeast and mix. When air bubbles come out of the mixture thanks to the yeast, pour 1 glass of flour and salt on it and continue mixing.
  2. Add 3 more cups of flour and continue kneading. Add a cup of flour as you knead the dough.
  3. A total of 6 cups of flour are collected. Take the gathered dough on the counter and knead for 5 minutes.
  4. Let rest covered for 45 to 60 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Divide the dough into 12-13 pieces. Open it on a lightly oiled counter and sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Roll it up and divide it into 2-3 pieces depending on the size. Arrange the rolls side by side in the clamped mold on which you have laid an oiled spoon.
  7. Brush the beaten egg yolk on top, sprinkle with sesame seeds and dip cherry tomatoes. Bake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for about (40 minutes) until the bottom and top are browned.
  8. When the pastries have cooled, open the mold and serve.
