Hello Dear Friends,

Today I have a cheerful and delicious recipe :) I mentioned World Baking Day before. Here are the recipes of 100 selected people from around the world (I am one of them) for that day. There is a site where they meet. Here you can choose a recipe that will inspire you and try it, by sharing the recipe you prepared on May 18-19 with the hashtag #cesurkekim, you can make it reach many people.

world baking day

My recipe was inspired by Carmela's Lemon Cakes. I decided to cook this recipe in heatproof glasses instead of paper cups and serve it with cream after it has cooled. If you do not have butip glasses, you can prepare your cake by baking it in muffin cups. Make sure the cake is completely cool so that your cream doesn't melt and run.

Love…

Ingredients for Lemon Sauce Cake Recipe

For the cake:

  • 2,5 teaspoon of powdered sugar
  • 3 medium egg
  • 1 water glass milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 150g margarine (melted)
  • 1 – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 water glass flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

For the syrup:

  • 50g icing sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon

For decoration:

  • 1 pack of whipped cream
  • 1,5 tea glass of milk
  • 1 cherry per cake

How to Make Lemon Sauce Cake Recipe?

For the syrup:

  • Put the sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan. Bring to boiling point on low heat. When it thickens and turns into a light syrup, take it off the heat.

For Cake:

  1. Heat and melt 150 g of margarine over low heat, set aside and wait for it to cool.
  2. Put the sugar, lemon zest and eggs in a whisk, beat at high speed until foamy.
  3. Add the milk, melted margarine and vanilla to the mixture and mix well.
  4. Finally, add the flour and baking powder and continue mixing.
  5. When completely mixed, divide the mixture into heatproof glasses or muffin tins.
  6. Place the glasses on the baking tray (if you are using muffin tins, place them on the muffin tray) Bake in the oven at 170 degrees for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Make 5-6 holes in the baked cakes with the help of toothpicks and share the syrup with a spoon and leave to cool.
  8. Squeeze whipped cream on the cakes you have prepared from the cooled cakes, garnish with 1 cherry and serve.

    Hello there,
I saw your recipe and I can't wait to try it :)) I just have something to ask. When wetting the cake with syrup, do they both have to be hot, or will the syrup be cold? Thank you from now.
