Labneh Cake
The labneh cake is one of my favorite cakes I've ever made. The reason for this is that its texture and taste are just right. You know, when you squeeze the cake lightly in your hand, it collapses like a sponge, but it returns to its old form, that's it!
There is neither the satiety you get when you make it with yogurt, nor the extra softness you get when you make it with milk. You can easily use Pınar Labneh instead of yogurt and milk.
I added a small amount of lemon zest and juice, but you can make it plain or you can try it with oranges and different fruits if you want.
Ingredients for Labneh Cake Recipe
- 3 pieces of eggs
- 2 tablespoons of margarine
- 1 teaspoons of oil
- 1 pack Labneh (200 gr)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 package baking powder
- 1 pack of vanilla
- 2,5 water glass flour
How to Make Labneh Cake Recipe?
- Put the sugar and eggs in a whisk, when the mixture turns white (until the sugar is completely dissolved), beat it with a mixer at low speed and then at high speed.
- Add labneh, margarine and oil to the creamy eggs and continue beating.
- Add the flour, lemon peels, lemon juice and vanilla and mix until you get a runny dough.
- Add the baking soda last and mix for 1 more minute.
- Grease your cake mold and pour the dough into the mold. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 35-40 minutes. (When the cake is baked, its smell is calling you :) )
- After your baked cake has cooled completely, remove it from the mold and serve by slicing.
I'm crazy about lemon chesecake and it tasted just like it! Since I love lemon so much, I increased it a bit. It's pretty cool! Thank you very, very much.
I tried your recipe, it was very good. The dough of the cake was solid.
Yes, I tried it too. It turned out very nice. How about we add more baking powder to make it fluff more?
Ms. Nilay, I tried your recipe, it was very good. Thank you very much.
Ms. Nilay was very beautiful, but yours was more beautiful.
Hello Miss Nilay,
A good recipe to feed my 1,5 year old son cheese. However, I have a question: do we melt margarine and use it?
Since I usually use margarine for pastry, I use it at room temperature without the need to melt it. But I don't think there will be much change in other margarines. If you want, you can use it after melting and cooling.
HELLO Madam NILAY,
First of all, good luck with your idea, a great cake; The taste of labneh is very good. Good bye….
My cake is not cooked at all. Help no. What should I do? I'm scared to make a cake :(
Ms. Tuana, if you have the same problem with every cake you make, the problem is either in your cake mold or in your oven. Before taking the cake out of the oven, always check the inside with a toothpick.
I tried your recipe and it was great, well done, it was a cake that suits all our tastes, it was a favorite cake of our family, with love...
So, can we add cocoa to it?
Of course, you can add cocoa, optionally chocolate chips, etc. you can add Yours sincerely

What kind of flavor does putting labneh add to the cake? does it look like labneh
It tastes like plain cake, in fact, whatever you add to it (lemon, orange) gives its taste.
You said 2 tablespoons of margarine, but you did not write where and how you used it in its preparation.
Hello, Ms. Meral, you can access this information from item 2. Yours sincerely
