Actually, I intended to share another recipe today, but when I received requests from those who follow my Instagram stories, I thought I'd share the sun-dried tomato breakfast sauce. Actually, the story started like this, I have about 750 gr. dry tomato there was. When I asked what to do with them, they all came up with delicious suggestions. I chose 2-3 of them and started preparing them according to my mind.

Ingredients for Dried Tomato and Almond Breakfast Sauce Recipe

  • 300 g dried tomatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cups of almonds
  • 1 tea glass of olive oil
  • 3-4 tablespoons of pomegranate syrup
  • Black pepper

How to Make Dried Tomato and Almond Breakfast Sauce Recipe?

  1. Soak the dried tomatoes in 3-4 cups of warm water, stir from time to time, desalinate and soften. 
  2. Put the softened tomatoes in the food processor, add the almonds on top.
  3. Add half of the olive oil, black pepper, crushed garlic and pomegranate syrup and start pulverizing in the food processor.
  4. When it starts to be crushed, add the remaining olive oil, add a little more pomegranate syrup to taste, if desired, and grind until it reaches the desired consistency.
  5. Put it in a glass jar and put it in the fridge, serve with rosemary, basil or fresh thyme, if desired.
