Kumquat Jam
Hello Dear Friends,
I haven't had a chance to make jam since summer. I thought it was the right time to make a delicious jam with Kumkuat (Kamkat), one of the fruits that have entered our lives in recent years, just like tangerines and oranges :)
Kumquat; A member of the Citrus family such as orange, tangerine, bergamot, lemon. The taste of this fruit, which is consumed with its peel, resembles an orange and a lemon in its shape.
Tips for making jam I shared with you in this article.. Let's go over some things though. same for this recipe in orange jam As it is, we apply a boiling process to take the bitterness of the crusts.
with me when you try my recipe Don't forget to share on instagram :) I would love to share the recipes you use with your photos in my story :) My Instagram account: @kitchensirlari

Ingredients for Kumquat Jam Recipe
- 500 g kumquat
- 3 cup powdered sugar
- 2,5 glasses of water (with 200 ml glass size)
- Lemon salt with the tip of the teaspoon
How to Make Kumquat Jam Recipe?
- Wash the kumquats and place in a medium saucepan. Fill with enough water to cover the top by two inches and let it boil over medium heat.
- Boil the boiling kumquats for 10 minutes over medium heat and drain. Add cold water to the top of the kumquats. Change the water a total of 2 times every 3 hours.
- After 6 hours, drain the kumquats and add 3 cups of granulated sugar to the pot. Listen to the kumquats for 1 night.
- In the morning, add 2,5 cups of water to the kumquats and cook on medium heat for about 17-20 minutes until the jam thickens. (You can tell that it has a consistency by dripping it onto a glass or porcelain plate that you have cooled. If it flows slowly and remains bulky, it is okay.
- Add lemon salt to the jam that thickens and boil for 2 more minutes and remove from the stove.
- Fill the jar while it's hot and close the jar when it's warm.
