Ingredients for Kümbet Pie Recipe

For the Cake:

5 eggs
1 cups sugar
2 spoons of cocoa
1 cup + 2 tablespoons flour
1 package baking powder
1 packaged vanilla

For Intermediate Cream:

1 liter milk
5 tablespoons of sugar
6 tablespoons cornstarch
1 packaged vanilla
3 tablespoons of coconut
1 large banana

For the Chocolate Sauce:

1,5 glasses of water,
4 cups sugar,
3 spoons of starch,
1 spoon of olive oil,
1 small packet of cocoa

How To Make Kümbet Pie Recipe?

Beat eggs and sugar with a mixer until they turn white and foamy.

In a separate bowl, flour, cocoa, baking powder and vanilla are sifted twice (for better rising) and added to the eggs and sugar. It is whipped a little more and poured into a 2-26 cm greased tray or a clamped mold.

It is baked in a preheated 160 degree oven. The oven door should not be opened for the first half hour, otherwise our cake may collapse.

While our cake is baking, let's prepare the custard. For our creme, put milk, sugar and starch in a saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until it boils. When our cream is cooked and warm, vanilla and coconut are added and mixed well.

When the cake is baked and cooled, it is cut in half. The inside of a 24-25 cm deep bowl is covered with cling film and the top layer of our cake (inner part of the cake will be on the cling film side) is placed in the bowl. Let's place the edges with our hands and place it in the bowl.

We fill our inner cream that we prepared on it, add our cubed banana on top of the cream and place our other cake on the cream.

Finally, we cover our cake with cling film and keep it in the refrigerator for 1 night.

The next day, we prepare the sauce on it 2-3 hours before serving it.

For the top sauce, all the ingredients are mixed in a saucepan and cooked until it becomes a dense cream. Cooked and solidified cream is left to cool.

We take our cooled sauce out of the bowl and pour it over the cake that we turned upside down on the serving plate and keep it in the fridge for 1 hour. During the service, we sprinkle coconut on it and eat it with pleasure.
