Thanks to my dear Ali Usta, I cooked my first chestnut meal. When I tried the Chestnut Vaccine dish from a recipe over 100 years old, I liked it very much and prepared it for my blog. I would definitely recommend it to those who want to try a meaty chestnut dish :)

Ingredients for Creamy Chestnut Soup Recipe

  • 250 g boiled chestnuts
  • 1 spoonful butter
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cloves of garlic
  • 6 water glass of water
  • half a cup of cream
  • salt
  • black pepper

How to Make Creamy Chestnut Soup Recipe?

  1. Put the onion and butter in the pot. Fry the onions on medium heat until they caramelize. Add the chestnuts and fry for 2 more minutes.
  2. Add the garlic, mix 1-2 times and add the water. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add salt and pepper and go through the blender. Add the cream and cook until it thickens and remove from the heat.
  4. Serve hot with chestnut pieces and finely chopped spring onions, if desired.
