How I missed cooking from crispy purslane. The meal I remember most clearly from the summer meals of my childhood olive oil purslane I guess. When plenty of onions and tomatoes are roasted and they start to smell sweet, purslane its sour smell is enough to take me away from me.

This time, taking advantage of the cool weather, I had a quick bite with the purslane that I bought from the market yesterday. purslane with minced meat I did. I miss preparing simple but delicious pot dishes.

Ingredients for Purslane Meal Recipe

  • 1 vineyard purslane
  • 1 medium onions
  • 150 gr mince
  • 3 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste (chili paste)
  • Half a glass of water
  • Salt

How to Make Purslane Meal Recipe with Minced Meat?

  1. Separate the purslane from their stems and leave to drain by washing them with 2-3 waters to clean the soil. Chop the drained purslane coarsely.
  2. Chop the onion for cooking, put it in a medium saucepan with olive oil. Add the minced meat and fry the minced meat until it releases its juice.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste and continue frying.
  4. Add half of the chopped purslane to the pot and mix. Then add the other half, add salt and water and mix.
  5. Cook the purslane with the lid on for 10-12 minutes over medium heat, serve warm or hot.
