Kıvratma is a recipe from the Samsun region, a dessert made with plenty of hazelnuts and baklava yufka. In fact, it's like baklava without sherbet :) You can roll the dough by hand or you can use ready-made baklava dough.

Ingredients for Twist Recipe

  • 2 cups crushed hazelnuts
  • 1,5 cup powdered sugar
  • 15-20 ready-made baklava phyllo
  • Half a pack of melted margarine
  • 1 tea glass of olive oil

How to Make Twisting Recipe?

  1. Mix 2 cups of crushed hazelnuts and 1,5 cups of granulated sugar in a bowl.
  2. Lay 2 pieces of baklava phyllo on top of each other, sprinkle water on it with your hands to soften it.
  3. Cool the dough with the hazelnut paste you prepared on the dough and wrap the dough in a rolling pin.
  4. Hold the rolling pin at both ends and pinch it towards the middle. Put the shrunken dough on a greased tray.
  5. Continue the same process until the tray is completely full.
  6. Pour the melted margarine and olive oil over the tray.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until golden brown (about 20 minutes).
  8. Slice and serve when cool.
