When preparing this recipe, foreign sources usually use red wine. Those who will use wine can increase the amount of sugar to 3-4 tablespoons. I used additive-free red grape juice, which is pretty sweet, so I reduced the amount of sugar to a minimum. Those who do not prefer sugar can only add grape juice.
Although it is very delicious with grape juice, it also needs a slightly burning touch that will carry its flavor one click higher. We provide this with apple cider vinegar and coriander. You can also add 1 bay leaf and 2 cloves of cloves if you want a slightly more aromatic flavor.

- 5 medium red onion
- half a teaspoon of olive oil
- 1 glass of pure grape juice
- 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 sweet spice salt
- 3 teaspoon of granulated sugar
- 1-2 teaspoons of coriander seeds
How to Make Red Onion Marmalade – Onion Jam Recipe?
- Chop the onions in piyaz and put them in a large pan. Add olive oil, salt and sugar and cook on low heat until the onions release their juices.
- When the onions start to become transparent, add the grape juice and apple cider vinegar and mix.
