Ingredients for Quince Dessert with Red Wine

1) 1 kg. bread quince
2) 2 cups of sugar
3) 1 or 1,5 glasses of red wine (the amount of wine depends on the juiciness of the quince)…
4) 5-10 cloves

How to Make Quince Dessert with Red Wine Recipe?

1) Washed quince is divided into two, their skins are peeled off and the core bed is removed with the help of a sharp knife, but these core beds and quince seeds are not thrown away. The beans will give their color, and the seed beds will make the juice of the dessert jelly.

2) Arrange the quinces in a pot with a wide bottom, with the rounded parts of the quinces facing down. Cloves are placed on them, powdered sugar is sprinkled on top of the quinces and finally 1 glass of red wine is added. Cover the pot and let it cook on very low heat.

3) Cover the pot… Continue to be opened and checked from time to time, the quinces are turned inside out once in a while, and it is ensured that all sides are cooked to the same consistency. Within a period of 1 – 1,5 hours, the water of the dessert may start to foam and overflow. Then it is continued to be cooked in a controlled manner with the lid open. Meanwhile, the quinces must be cooked (if there are still uncooked parts, a little more wine can be added.) The juice must have started to jelly…

4) After the quinces are cooked, the stove is turned off, but not immediately placed on the serving plate. It is left to cool in the pot. When the dessert cools down, the jellies at the bottom of the pan are placed on the quince, if desired, walnuts can be placed in the middle (I did it, it tasted very good) and it is eaten with the addition of a piece of cream ;)
