Kaytaz Pastry
Hello Dear Friends,
Kaytaz pastry is one of the most delicious and satisfying recipes that you can prepare at home with yeast dough and minced meat. As with all other leavened doughs, the fermentation time is very important. Apart from this, it should be a very soft dough that does not stick to the hand.
There is no oil in the Kaytaz pastry dough, but you need to lubricate both the counter and your hands while opening it. This adds a very nice texture to the dough.
It is possible to prepare a very satisfying menu with ayran, kaytaz pastry, salad and soup.

- While the dough is fermenting, knead the finely chopped onions and parsley, minced meat and other stuffing in a medium bowl with your hands and set aside.
- Break off pieces slightly larger than the egg from the fermented dough and open them in the size of a dessert plate on the kitchen counter that you oiled after oiling your hands.
- Fold it in half and then in four as in the photo and transfer it to the greased tray. When all the dough is finished, press the dough with your hands to make a depression.
- Spread the prepared mortar on the pastries by pressing them with your hands.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees until golden brown.
