  • Half of 1 medium cabbage
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 4-5 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of rice (optional)
  • Salt
  • 1 water glass of water

How to Make Kapuska Recipe?

  1. Wash the cabbage leaves well and chop them into large pieces. Chop the onion into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Pour olive oil into a pan and heat over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onions and fry until they turn pink.
  3. Then add the tomato paste and stir fry until the smell of the tomato paste comes out.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage to the pot little by little and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Finally, add salt, optional rice and 1 glass of water and close the pot lid. Cook on low heat until the cabbage softens.
